Signs of Spring

 Joe built these 4 garden boxes this weekend.

We put them where the old rotten swing set was. 

That is why you can see some sand on the ground.

Joe stapled gopher-proof wire underneath each box.

  This weekend we will pick up some compost and fill these boxes up. 

In Boise, we can't plant outside until the first week of May, usually after Mother's Day.  For now, our veggies are growing in the basement under a sunny window.

The lilac tree is budding.

The gophers are starting to make a mess of our grass.

One of these traps worked on Friday.  We finally got one!

Frisbee golf right out our back door.
